Default WTD: Carbon brush 4 505 SRDT thermo fan

    Hey froggies,

I'm rather urgently looking for a carbon brush for the thermo electric fan in my 505 diesel pug. If anyone in the Melbourne area can help me out sometime friday (even if it's an old crappy one which still kicks), please let me know.

    Default alternative....

hey an alternative my brother tried only yesterday is buying a bosch brush from bursons for $2.40 and filing it down to size. It is soft graphite and only took a couple of minutes. Admittedly he has not tested it yet but it is a simple option

I have made many brushes in my time. Once you get the hang of it it's not too bad...

Just for reference, the brush you speak of is the same for all petrol and diesel models equipped with an electromagnetic clutch fan, for 404, 504, 505, etc. They are avaliable new from Peugeot for about $12.

    Icon14 Carbon Brush

This forum is too cool - so many smart, friendly and helpful cookies on here!! About the only brush I had lying around friday was a hairbrush, and next time I'm in a bind I'll try filing that down. Thanks John505 for coming through with the goods!
