    A quick question.
    Is it dead or is it just making a god awfull noise, (easy fix).

    It's missing. ;-). Previous owner has used it to replace one of theirs. The two ports each side are currently gaffer taped up to stop dieselly air coming into the cabin. :-)

    Thanks for all the kind offers, guys. I hadn't realised this thread had resurrected.

    FWIW, I picked up a $100 GR a couple of weeks ago and have used the blower from that - so I'm OK for now.

    (I am glad, though, that there's so many helpful people (or is that crazy people) out there for RWD Pug owners. I missed this when I was off in Toyota-land! )
