Default Help! Need 505 power steering hose in Melbourne

    G'day!

I'm in Melbourne at the moment, and my 505 GTi has blown a power steering hose. It's the high pressure one, from the pump to the rack, with the screw on fittings at both ends.

Would anyone have one of these lying around? I'm in Melbourne eastern suburbs, but will travel if required. I will be at the PCCV meeting this friday night.

    Hoping someone can help me!

Edit: The hose is the same for a 505 GTi, STi, SLi, SR, GR wagon, SRDT, GTDT - basically any 505 with power steering (except the factory V6 or Turbo Injection)

    Ta!

Save yourself future grief and install a new hose.
A mongrel to get it out but take it to a hydraulic hose reparer - typically they cut off the ends and braize to new swage fittings. Cost approx $60-
Caution - make sure they note the relative allignment of the ends before the disassemble it as it will be v difficult to fit if not properly lined up on new hose.

    good luck

    Default Power steering hose

    Hi Scott
Do yourself a favour and just buy a new one, European Auto Ph 98996683 or Caravelle,Ph.98909061
I have tried it the hose specialist way,too much messing around and when for around the same cost you can buy a new one.
