Ever tried the Altrec clear stick on variety?
I was doing lights in on the 16V on a regular basis due to constant driving on crappy roads, gravel roads, rebuilt roads and 4WDs playing "Russel Coight" as were the other cars in the house.
They're made of a pliable clear about 3/4mm thick that sticks on and absorbs the hit. Never done a light since and the guy who put me onto it has a Jag which was costing him $1100 a time and he also has never lost one and as a bonus, the lights stay looking like new. No discolouration, won't crack, dust can't get under them and you don't have to worry about removing when you wash the car and they don't get stolen because nobody knows they're there and if you have a prang and have to replace it, just either peel off and stick on the new light or if need be, cut out a new one and it matches the other light.
Cost:- about $30 will give you a set of 4 or enough for 2 cars.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

EAI has them listed for the 505. I don't know if they're perspex but the old price list I have lists them for $60.80 which sounds about right for perspex ones.

    P9160149/88 HEADLAMP COVERS-P505 $60.80

Hey mate, I've got a good pair sitting in the garage right now. one of them has a small crack, cant remember which side. If you are still interested get back at me by email [email protected].

I've got no idea what the're worth, so you will have to make an offer.

    Default Yeay yeah me too

I've got a couple of sets. Have got a little scuffing, but perspex can be polished to a certain (small) extent by people who know how to. I'm in Brisbane too
