    I've heard these are cheaper than the OEM items;

    http://www.ngk.com.au/pages/product_oxygen.htm

    Alternatively you could get a price for the same item through a Citroen dealer, sometimes they can be cheaper.

    I gather the Xsara VTS engine would use the same as the GTi-6.

    thanks heaps for the help guys
    i just called bursons and the NGK catalogue only lists for 306 up to 97.

    Is the S16 sensor the same as GTi6? Are the plugs the same?
    Im waiting on peugeot to get back to me on that info but thought id ask here in the meantime.

    thanks again

    May just be connectors, a generic sensor should do the job. If not I'd like to know the differences.

    find out how many wires on your oxy sensor. go to bursons and ask for a _ wire universal oxygen sensor. they com with a coulour coded wiring diagram. you have to cut and match wires to the pug clips. so get some joiners and heat srink while you at burson. stagger the joins

    Chris at regan motors tells me the Gti6 and S16 are different. Its not just the plugs but the probe and the ohm that they run at.

    I called a few wreckers but they need the bosch/part number to check if its the right one they have.

    Anyone have a part number/bosch number or somthing.

    I might have to get this stupid thing from peugeot which is going to make me poor

    According to bosch.com.au the part number is 0 258 003 717

    Don't quote me on that though, as the parts list is pretty vague.

    If that's the difference then a universal 4 wire sensor should do the trick
