Default SEAT BELTS for Renault 15TS

I need some new or very good condition front seat belts for my Renault 15TS. OR, does anyone know where I might get some? Are they interchangeable with anything else?

    Many thanks in anticipation

Probably the same as the same model 504...

They were also assembled by Renault Australia at that time.

The belts on a 15TS are quite long, as well the originals having a spring loaded part that attaches to the sill to keep the belts out of the way. The Pug 504 belts would be too short.

Try here, they don't have a listing for Renault but may able to whiz up a set from your sample.

    What about re-webbing the originals?

There are people who can do that... but it's probably fairly expensive. Certainly dearer than buying out of a wreck.

And there were some Datsuns (120Y 2-door?) that had long belts with a retainer... maybe something you could do there?

Are they the retractable or manually adjusted ones? If they are the manually adjusted ones I have some that aren't very old that I will sell very cheap ($25). I also have some genuine renault belts for the rear in very good condition. I actually think they are off a R16 but are fitted to a R17. They are the old type with metal buckles and renault written on them.

If they are the retractables I took mine into a seatbelt supplier and they were able to match ones up of similar length. They do need a slight adjustment though to be suitable. If you are interested contact me and I will tell you how.

How much did rewebbing cost, just to give us an idea?

I would ask you local auto shop as they are available aftermarket for all sorts of cars. they are available with different stalk lengths.

    To R17G

My belts are not retractables so I'd like to take you up on your offer, certainly for the front pair. Perhaps we could do a deal on all 4. Would you kindly e-m me on [email protected]

I have been on to Autoliv as previously suggested and they will make up a belt but not with the original tongue so I would have to change to a stalk which I don't want to do. We had not got round to discussing prices, only the feasibility of the exercise.

Many thanks to all those who contributed.
