Take it into a radiator place, they should be able to recore it. It may be a bit more expensive than S/H but is likely a more known quantity being new.

I have an early 403 one or a late 403/404 if these are any good to you.

Not sure if they would be entirely suitable. The DG one has entry at one end exit at the other. The Pug ones have either the entry/exit on the same top/side. Whilst they no doubt could be adapted some how, fitting them into the heater unit would likely require some work.

Are these still available? My 4CV has no heater or radiator shrouds at all. Was looking for a 6v ceramic heater, but I don't think they make them. Rod.

You can either get the shrouding parts - there are bound to be some around in NSW - or retro-fit a Sophica heater. I imagine the Sophica is better! Have you a later car with demisting vents?

Either way, I'd expect you'd be able to find the bits by way of the Renault 4CV Register of Australia (google it) or by posting a specific request here.

I wouldn't go the electric way unless you are planning some 6V heroics in the generating department. Even if you could find something. You do come across 6C demister devices from time to time but even they are almost too much current demand with headlamps on in my experience.

    Cheers
