    Hi All,
can anyone help with a good fan; thats the one powering the aircon & air circulation system?
Ours has seized; great timing for summer!

If it's only seized and not burnt out, why not just throw a new set of bearings in it?
We did that on a CX a few years ago so I would expect it would have races and not bushes in it. Not a hard job and would be a lot cheaper than a new motor and easier to find than a second hand one.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

sounds reasonable.... especially in light of the cost of a new item.
I'll question the sparky a bit closer.

    cheers

    Hi Andy,

We still miss our 405 Hope it's treating you well, as it did for us.

That fan on the passenger side needed a soft kick while the blower setting was on full.
I think it was a dead spot on the commutator.

Don't quote me but I am fairly sure the 205, thus the 306 & Citroen variants use the same motor, the housing/ mounting being the only difference. You might be able to rob some bits from a wreck.
    Anyone clarify this?

I have the complete panel including two fans, and relays but I am not in se Qld rather in CBR. If you are stuck let me know and we can work something out.

    Hi Gerry,
It's died this time, seized & burnt.
Can't rebuild 'em either as they are a sealed unit.
thanks for the advice; I'll see what I can find.

ps there seem to be a couple of 404's in town (Noosa) for this weekend's
    historic hillclimb
