Default WTB: Citroen GSA 45Amp Alternator (Paris Rhone YL141)

    Hi,
After an already expensive rebuild my GSA's alternator has now lost diodes from its rectifier. Does anybody have an old Paris-Rhone YL141 alternator sitting on a shelf? The brushes, regulator, bearings, stator etc can all be shot as all I need is a rectifier with diodes intact. Help, help, help, please.
    Cheers,
    Dave

    Hi Dave, it’s Gamila.
You should be able to get new diodes and solder them in. Have they got any numbers on them, take it to jaycar and see what they have available.
    good luck.

    Dave.

Pretty sure I have a spare alternator in my Stash, but not sure of the brand.

    Will check in the morning.

    Cheers, Pottsy.

    Dave

I have a fairly dirty and dusty Ducellier in a box, and what I think is a Marchal on a motor.

Neither of them match what you want I suspect, but you're welcome to one or the other.

    Cheers, Pottsy.

I have a number of Paris Rhone alternators, that came with my Fuego's but after spending lots of money refurbishing some, I went with the advice of the forum to replace with more reliable Bosch alternators that were much cheaper to maintain. Will have a look at what is there or you are welcome to come and check for yourself.
