Default WTB - AL4 2.0 diesel torque converter

Before I go down the path of getting one rebuilt just checking if anyone in Brisbane has s diesel box with converter still attached and knows the vehicle still drove.
Scratching my head one why a rebuilt AL4 has little to no oil pressure.

Not willing to remove box again if I have no known good spare converter.

Yes it could be the oil pump...box needs to be removed 1st, I have a spare pump.

I have 2 convertes from 2 separate AL4s that stopped all forward and reverse drive.

Valve body solenoids unlikely but will swap this weekend.

I've asked people in the know who alll tell me to rebuild the box. So no help.

    Let me know WYH.

    Thanks

I’m not being a d$&k but are you sure that the converter went all the way in to the pump dogs.

DMC, I cant convince myself that it did but this same AL4 I gave up on after a rebuilt 2 years ago with the same problem which I put down to the missing and then damaged thrust washer on the input shaft.

As you know there's no way a testing these out of the vehicle so don't want to takes chances.

I'm hoping its the oil pump or converter not fully fitted.

P s. Due to not being drivable I'm doing the box removed on the kerb side and again the council don't like my car on jacks with engine brace installed on their property so trying not look to obvious for a week or so.

    Well dazed and confused

Box dropped out, converter definitely slotted in correctly.
Took out oil pump to ensure it wasn't damaged or fitted the wrong way around.

No it was correct. Fitted torque converter spin it for a bit, can hear oil swishing around .Converter is full so definitely getting oil transfer when running.

    What to check next?

Shall I split and check nothing has dislodged?

The valve body should be ok. Replace the solenoids again?

Is it possible the converter is somehow stuffed?

Running out of ideas and only want to install it one last time.

    Any ideas welcome
