Default Group Shipping? Peugeot 205 Heated windscreens

I am looking at buying a heated windscreen if anyone else is interested, price is oddly £205 ($370 AUD), more details here: https://www.heatedwindscreen.com/aca...indscreen.html

I have been quoted £200 sea freight including insurance.

They have told me it will be the same shipping price to ship more than one.

I would prefer to deliver them to Fremantle, Western Australia. From which I could help with road transport to the east coast if there is interest.

    Is anyone else genuinely interested?

I did one of these about a year ago. Good screens. We got 8 all together via sea freight.

Ah I see. So might not be any new takers. Do you know if anyone has hung onto theirs and hasn't installed?

Brett might have one. Not sure how his plans for 205 are progressing.

Just be aware of the LCL container charges, GST, port charges etc. A group buy would benefit greatly. But if you're only doing one, it may be that air freight may prove cheaper. ( I bought a heated screen for my A110 from the same company last year. The screen plus shipping & insurance seemed reasonable enough, but the landed cost was another $1000 on top!)

I can find the paperwork. It was not $1000 extra per screen.
shipping from perth might be an issue. They were very well packed in a crate with expanding foam to take up the space.

I'm talking about customs clearance & port charges at the receiving end (Australia). The shipping costs quoted by the supplier is CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight). It would pay to get a quote from a customs agent in your vicinity to be sure about the total cost.

Appreciate that. When I imported my 205 parts container it was about 9% duty and 10% gst and a $100 processing fee. I'll probably use the same agent.

I would get a quote ex Perth also before proceeding, I recently shipped my Megane engine, gearbox, lots of parts from Perth to east via road. It was not crazy.

And I'd remove my screen and repack for the road...

I do need a new windscreen. I doubt Shannon's will count it as my free for the year however.

I've just look it up, the local charges, including delivery from port to local warehouse was an extra $1240.
This was on a total shipped cost of £1875 for 8 screens to Melbourne.
    The shipping component was £320.

We ended up at around AU$600 per screen landed in Melbourne.

My aim is to do this order first or second week of Feb. I am away for work until then. So I will make contact in early Feb, and work on shipping/import/transport prices. We'll see then if the multi handling to different capitols works or not on price.

It would pay those contemplating importing any screen to talk to Ralf Moore at Autoglass.

when searching for a 404 cab screen everyone recommended him as he imports from Europe screens for exotics

Why would one need a heated screen in Australia?
Is it for a tarmac rally car without demisting?
I'd be interested in a bronze tinted one (from memory, very light tints are now legal for front screens in Australia now).
    Cheers, Chris.

Yes its for a tarmac/track car without a heater core.

Sorry I've let the ball slip on this buy, please PM me if you are very genuine about the order. Otherwise given my lack of time due to work and the logistics of getting the screen from Perth I might suggest we park this buy.
