    the vin is VF 7LC9HZH74719104

Yes, I thought before I instal an auto electrician I would give him a heads up by providing him with detailed wiring diagrams. Getting such a person around here to look at anything but a Commodore, Falcon or Magna is an art form in itself.

The Lexia says "ECU + Permanent supply open circuit" . Well I've traced from the battery through a 10 ohm fuse to the top of the ECU. I got a replacement ECU which gave same reading. So I don't believe it is theECU as my stuff up where nowhere near that link.

When I did a check using the Lexia 12 months ago I noticed that there was no gearbox fluid pressure reading. I think it is supposed to be between 35 and 50 bar or whatever units pressure is measured in. Checking on the pin (no.5) at the top of the gearbox ECU there does not appear to be 12V present. This is a pretty simple check even for me with a multimeter. So power should be coming through the BSM. However none of the fuse are noted as relating to the gearbox ECU (not that I expected it to), but it seems to me that this is by far and away the most likely source of the problem. Unfortunately C4's ar not exactly thick on the ground around here so a quick swap over to check is not an option.

It seems like many other solutions I have read, the BSM is the culprit after the BSI and main ECU are solved.

Car runs otherwise really well but other than using it as a stationery engine for splitting fire wood it is a bit surplus to the fleet.

    I appreciate your interest.

PS I am getting 4 tyre valves for the TPRS from the US of A (for XMAS). I think they are used on all Dodges/Chryslers etc. and probably 50,000 other models/makes.

What’s the car doing ie not picking 1st etc
The fault code you have shouldn’t be a problem it just means the battery went flat are the brake lights stuck on.

Neither drive nor reverse will select. Remember it is an EGS clutch.

    Have a new battery.

The rear lights are not stuck on, they just blink when I open a door.

Yeah I know if you have a stuck brake switch the clutch won’t release but not selecting sounds like a position issue have you got a lexia have you tried relearning the box you can talk to trans ecu?

David, I have a lexia. What do you suggest that it can "relearn" the gearbox.

Can you communicate with the gearbox ecu if yes go into replacement parts /programming there is a section in there to relearn the clutch and shift mechanics

I shall try that. However, I don't recall where it allows "permanent +ve open circuit" rectification. But I'm up for anything. So you don't believe it could be BSM related. For example, the relay that provides power to the hydraulic pump could be stuffed.

Ok the black 16 way connector on the psf1 engine fuse box should have power at the pins
1 -8 -10 and 13 if that’s ok the fuse box is ok
