Default C4 to good to wreck

Most people who know me know I'll wreck anything and nothing is to good to wreck but this really is. So good in fact that we are going to fix it ourselves.

This is the used car buyers dream. Immaculate condition, low kms, little old lady's car (83 years old). Look at the pictures, it looks like it's never been driven and with only 73,000kms that's almost true. Not even a stone chip across the front.

Problem is it broke its timing belt. Some would say that's poor maintenance and whilst that may be true most people know they need to be done every 100,000 or 160,000 or whatever the book says. This has only done 73,000 so it's not due yet.

But age is also a key factor, this car is 13 years old so it should have been done, can't blame the old lady who just puts into a garage and pays the bill, its poor advice from the mechanic and it's cost her her car.
We are going to fix it because it's a relatively easy job so it'll go back on the road anybody wanting the used car buy of a lifetime keep in touch.

Looks great but too far South. Definitely a keeper for someone.

I have a good EW engine for sale cheap Dave, although would be easier to fix the head on the present one I guess. Also includes a good AL4 auto.

Yours is the early ew10 engine. This c4 is the later version. Different head, different block ours has variable valve timing. But also has a lot of similarities like the valves and sump. But to different to work.

Didn't realise that C4s came with GTi180 engine. 307 Sport was another.

This is now rwc and registered. Will be going on car sales this week. This car honestly drives amazingly and is immaculate. Very good car for someone with nothing needing to be done.

Please everyone stop sending me PM's on this car.
    It is sold.
I've been swamped with enquiries from Aussiefrogs, Carsales and Facebook and as we knew the first people who saw it bought it.

BUT, at the moment it's just a gentlemans agreement, it's due to be picked up Tuesday night so if it all fall over I'll let everyone know but first in first served.
