Hi guys, Just an update on my progress with the windscreen. I have been in contact with Ralph Moore at Mascot & they tell me that they won't be doing an order in the near future so they put me onto Lambda Motors in Mittagong who, they said, will be placing a glass order soon. On contacting Lambda motors I discover that they are Lancia specialists who want to order glass from Pilkintons Finland but are not getting any response to their attempts to make contact with Finland. So I have just emailed [email protected] in California to see what he can come up with. Thanks for all your help, I'll keep you posted on developments.

Hi again. My response from Jaques "$425, the windshield WOULD NEEDTO BE PROFESSIONALLY PACKED AND THEN FLOWN BY AIR. I CANNOT PREDICT THOSECOSTS." I have asked if he knows of a packing /forwarding company near him that I could get a quote from but no response yet. I have just sent an email to Cyber-Papy & will see what that brings up.
    Thanks for your interest.

Hmmm, sounds like a business opportunity for someone here, someone needs to make a mould from an existing windscreen and have 10 or 20 laminated windscreens made up locally. You could ask your own price then...

Post scriptum: and before anyone says it...It won't be me.

    Since Jacques is in USA.

DHL or UPS would seem to be logical contenders for the task.

I would have thought any international supplier would capable of satisfactory packing, in house.

Seems to me customer service is close to zero.

Good that it will be flown by air.... Best way forward maybe is for you to engage a freight forwarding company of some sort to collect, pack and deliver. I got a new transaxle flown from France for about $500 last year, but the builder did box it up first.

I was just going to say, who do we know with a plethora of these cars and spares; and a friend of his with the talent for making moulds and a business platform from which to sell them?

    Hi,

Not sure if this route has been followed, We got a brnd new windscreen for the Matra with a choice of tints and shades etc. from Uroglas in England and the contact there is Stuart Robinson.

Have a look here as well from thread no 88. Matra Jet 6 restoration.

    Regards, Frans.
