Default WTB RHF Stub axle R8 R10 Caravelle

Hi guys. I am looking for a RHF stubaxle for a Caravelle R1133 I an rebuilding. It has ball joint suspension & is the same as R8 & R10 I understand. I am at Cootamundra NSW. It seems that there are a couple of different stubs. I need the one with the bearing sizes 22 mm & 17 mm. The stub is 84mm from the inner bearing shoulder to the outer end.Thanks.

You just need to check what the diameter of the stub axle is. The early R8's had a different stub axle to the later 8's and then 10's. Not sure where the Caravelle fitted into that series, but I would guess they are the same as the later 8 and 10's.

I don't have any spares, I had to source a replacement for one side myself.

KB is correct regarding more than one size stub axle - I've no idea which you need. I can't help personally, but are you a member of the Renault 4CV Register of Australia? PM me if you are, or if you'd like to join - we've a wide membership across Australia and one of our members might be able to help. Many will see this anyway of course.

Good luck with the search, either way.

    Cheers

Thank you I'll see if I can edit my post & put the dimensions in. The bearing sizes are 22 mm & 17 mm. The stub is 84mm from the inner bearing shoulder to the outer end.

Editing the post is easy - you should have a tab below your own post labelled "Edit Post". Click on it, a wee window will appear that allows you to change the words, then click on the tab "Save".

The measurement shows that you need the later type of stub axle. My early R8 has 20 mm stub axles. I'd have thought there'd be some around, but you do need the right person with the right level of clutter to see the article.
