Default Douvrin 2.2 Injected R25 J7T 715 Performance engine Expressions of Interest

    Hi All,

I bought Jo Proffi's Fuego before he scrapped it hoping to uses the engine and a few bits and pieces.

Unfortunately I have proceeded down the path of a different Renault so have many surplus parts.

I don't know exactly what I have in this motor but Jo tells me he bought it from someone who had race prepped it for perhaps an ethanol dirt track car??

Is supposed to have special cylinder liners, o-ringed head and ported - have not pulled it apart to check.

He just ran it NA although I suspect it may have been designed for a forced induction purpose(Not sure what CR is). He ran it from new for approx. 10,000klms.

Other bits include vernier cam pulley and maybe alloy rockers.

It has a custom hall-effect pick up off the head for the Autronic SMC it was run with.

I also have an injected R25 inlet manifold to suit.

I need to clear up some space so would like to get rid of it but cant bring myself to just throw it out.

If anyone is seriously interested then I'm happy for any inspections or to pull the head together and see whats in it!

All parts are for sale separately or as a package so just make me an offer.

I also have a very rare 12V R25 TXI head I've been hording but not sure if I want to part with it yet - could be adapted to many 8V motors with some mods so if anyone is interested in this get in touch and make me an offer.

This may be the engine built by Bob Nelson from this forum, you could ask him for the details.

    That name rings a bell.

Apparently it was intended as a methanol turbo engine.

    Hi Jo,
yes\this is the motor you got from me,
it was dry sumped, and turboed, runing methanol, and 23psi boost was only putting out 340 bhp,but very reliable, except for ports, and cam and o ringing of head ,and gapless rings was basically a stock motor,

    cheers bob.

    Hi,

comp ratio was as per standard, if there were two comp ratios for that motor , it was the higher of the two, hope this helps.

    cheers bob
