    Default Renault 807-11 (17 Engine)

I bought this 18~ months ago out of a running 17 that rust ate. It has sat in my shed on a stand waiting for the 12 to be ready. Since then I've moved home, and now looking for work in Sydney.

The reality is, if no one buys it, I'll tie it into the back of the 12, put some roof wracks on top and tie the other spares on it, before I attempt to drive it up to Sydney.. (other spares at the moment just include 5 x 13" wheels. I suppose I can sit them upright and run a strap within them)

I confess I don't really want the hassle, I'm ultimately going to be better served buying one (if I get around to it) up there. My partner wont be able to help me lift it out of the car when I arrive, our neighbours are old Chinese grandparents, and I don't want to impose on fellow froggers I'm yet to meet.

    So..

Engine is complete with engine mounts, clutch, flywheel, exhaust, inlet manifold, webber, dizzy. It's even still got socks in the inlet / outlet and even some oil fell out of it yesterday. You can keep the socks. Dump it in your 12 / 15 / 17.

$300~ and you can have the engine stand. (I paid $600 for the engine 18m~ ago)

This engine has the water pump up the back of the block (gearbox end), and no sprocket at the front, so I suppose this block was was shared with the 16 at some point too?

Located in a garden shed next to some old boxes in Croydon.

If you don' sell it, it may be a good way to MEET fellow froggers in the area.
I'm not too far away from where you're setting up camp. I could probably bring my engine lifter over in the ute and help you get it out if need be. But at that price, you should have no problem finding a buyer one would think.

I'd take it bowie. Just got to work out how to get it over here in WA. I'll make a few calls and let you know.
    What would it weight?

    Hi Bowie,
I will buy it and collect (I live in Ballarat) if Shoji does not want to go ahead and shift it to WA.
    Cheers

Is anybody willing to stow for it until I can afford to ship it over?

Just to chime in here, anyone willing to help Shoji (and you should he seems like a nice guy) would have to arrange collection by this weekend, I could stretch it out to Monday.

Engine is on borrowed time in my house mates shed which he now isn't very happy about (handed back keys to my old rental property yesterday where it was sleeping comfortably)

Keith, you're still next in line and for everyone else, I have had a few line up after from the Reno club.

    Cheers

Keith, when are you next in Melbourne?

I am retired, so I could come on one day notice. My 17 is in need of a transplant!

Dan, just read your urgency. If it falls to me, I would need to come tomorrow (Thurs) or Frid, as I am commited to competing in Vic Hillclimb round on this Sat and Sun. cheers Keith
