Default WTB: s3 Pug 205 rear bumper

    Hi All

I'm looking for a black rear bumper in really nice condition for my project car. A bit faded is okay - Plasticare will fix! - but I'm looking for one with no gouges or scrapes.

    Thanks
    Richard

Thanks John. I'd definitely be interested. Can you PM me details please?

I'd be more interested if the bumper is black - I've tried Plasticaring a boot louvered panel from grey to black and it hasn't been 100% successful.

    Will PM details.
The rear panels are different material to the bumpers i find and definately dont come up as well as the bumpers/mouldings etc.

    Thanks John. Response sent.

I'm also after another couple of parts that you or someone else might be able to help with? There looks to me to be something missing from the blind/panel that pulls out under the sunroof. Can anyone tell me what's missing here? Should there be a handle and/or some trim that goes on the top of the panel?

Also, the button mechanism that goes in the middle of the sunroof lever to lock it in place is missing? Can anyone help with this locking mechanism?

Default Be careful who you buy from...

I ended up buying a supposedly new, genuine bumper from a member in Brisbane, together with a rear parcel shelf that was described as 'immaculate'.

Life has been a bit crazy busy so I only unboxed them yesterday. Was disappointed to find that both parts were cracked in multiple places, the bumper is a non-genuine pattern part, and the parcel shelf is badly faded.

The vendor says bad luck -- these changes must all have happened in transit. Obviously, at least some of the cracks could have been caused in transit, and my long delay in unpacking them will have made an insurance claim all but impossible. But the fading or staining somehow seems less likely to be caused in transit, and the bumper is cracked in different directions in different places, so it seems likely that at least some of the cracking was already there. And as for how a genuine bumper morphed into a cheap pattern part?

    Richard,

There re is a plastic handle that sits in that void on the sunroof louvre.

As for the handle, yes there is a button-type latch that sits on the void of the vacuum release handle. It looks the handle in the up position.

Neother are things that I have seen around all that often unfortunately. eBay UK is your best bet for those parts.

Hope we the project is going well mate.
