    Default Cam Sprocket Holding Tool

Has anyone got the official citroen cam sprocket holding tool for use when replacing an xsara vts timing belt (xu10j4rs)? I'm sick to death of my ebay bought tool not locking tight enough and the pins bending and moving. I'm located in Brisbane but am also willing to pay extra for postage from interstate.

    Something like this:

That will wedge between the camshafts.

    Why not the stepped pins?

I'm confused by what you mean? The pins in the timing holes are not sufficient to hold the sprockets still whilst undoing the sprocket bolts.

For cracking the bolts? OK, there is a tool like Jeff posted an image of.

Your local tool bloke should have access to something like this.

Use extra long ring spanners for the centre bolts, KC tools make some - plenty of leverage.

Thanks addo. I'll ring around about that tool tomorrow and if all else fails I'll visit a machine shop and get something made up. This timing belt replacement has taken almost a week already! I must be a terrible mechanic

Also, if anyone else has anything let me know please.
