    Default WTB - Diesel Injectors for 505 2.5 XD3T

I would like to buy a good set of diesel injectors (or nozzles) for a 2.5 XD3T. I am trying to troubleshoot some running issues. Pointers for somewhere to get new nozzles are also welcome.

I would also like an injector supply pipe (pipe from IP to nozzle). The intention is to use it to build a "pop" tester.

Injectors currently fitted are: KD LCR 6730704

    Nozzles are DNOSD 252

I am in Wentworth Falls, NSW.

    Thanks,

I used Monark brand nozzles in my 2.5 GTD. I bought them from ebay uk years ago.

I have a pop tester you can borrow if you like. I'm in Kurrajong.

    Thanks for the reply.

I downloaded the Monark catalogue - they don't list an equivalent for DNOSD252 but have a DNOSD251. I don't know enough about diesels to know what (if anything) I can substitute.

Did a search on Ebay.uk and found Diesel-top-shop listing DNOSD252 for 69 UK Pounds (+ postage)

    PEUGEOT 147 504 505 604 NEW INJECTOR NOZZLES SET OF 4 | eBay

Thy also list a different nozzle as suitable for the 2.5 505 for 77 UK pounds

I'll wait a few days to see if anything else turns up first.

Thanks for the offer of the pop tester, I might take you up on that!

If it were me, I'd go with the first ebay set. The other ones might be Lucas?

Here is a link to my post a few weeks ago.

    505 Turbo Diesel

I have since cleaned the injectors (were not really dirty) but has made no difference. I am looking at things like leak back lines, turbo connection etc. It's almost as if it is sucking in a small amount of oil when idling, then burning it on acceleration.

I am thinking of trying to get spares for all the fuel system including the pump. Just not sure if it's worth spending the money.

I read your other post. Maybe my comment above is incorrect as you have a Lucas pump. I think the Lucas injectors run at a higher pressure from memory.

Yes, I have a CAV Rotodiesel.
Part of my problem is that I can't find out what should be in there.
You have made a very good point, do the DNOSD 252 nozzles match the Rotodiesel? I will have to do some more digging.

Having said that, the car ran well for a couple of years with these nozzles.

Most GTD's I've seen seem to have a rotodiesel pump.
Mine came with a broken rotodiesel pump, so I fitted a bosch pump and injectors instead. The 2.3 TD pump and injectors work fine on the 2.5 TD.

Bit more information on injectors used in the XD3T engine from an American forum.
