    Default WTB: Peugeot 404 extractors

Looking for a set of Peugeot 404 extractors with an expansion box. A full exhaust system would be great, if the freight isn't too much or it's located near Brisbane.

Failing finding a set, has anybody got specifications to which I could have a good set made?

In the late 70's I commissioned Rapid's to design that extractor system and sold about 50 sets to PCC NSW members and even a few went interstate.
Are there more available from Rapid now and how much?

Would you be willing to sell your set, Pugnut? If so, how much would you be after? If not, I'll try contacting Rapid when the Easter break is over. If you've got a picture handy of the extractors would you be able to post it? I'd like to see what they look like. Is the quality good? Thanks guys.

I was lucky enough to borrow the set from Jamie and got one set made by Rapid Exhausts for my 404 (and they also made one other set for another Sydney member).
They made up a jig at the time and were going to keep it in case of further interest.
The extractors go 4 into 1 below the timing cover, then runs down and under the front crossmember...has several advantages and so far has not been a problem.
Will see if I can get a picture for you...
    Cheers

I had a set on my 404 in the late 70's. Disadvantage of the extractors running under the front crossmember was loss of ground clearance. I did a fair bit of rough dirt road driving and they got knocked about. I eventually too them off and reverted to the original set up.

Oh well...that's the style that Rapid have the template for...as an alternative to extractors I know some people used a big bore (very early) 504 exhaust manifold with bigger diameter tubing (twin) engine pipe.
