    Icon9 Wtd; Peugeot 2L Motor

My 1969 Peugeot 404 is desperately needing an engine,
to marry up to BA7/5 floor shift gearbox.
    Missing piece to jigsaw.
Prefer 2L square port ready to drop in and go.
I don't have time to rebuild.

Alternatively I am prepared to sell car as is and move on.
Full bar metal 2 pac respray, underside resealed.
Floor tunnel modified to suit BA7/5 floor shift.
Commodore discs, all brake lines replaced, cables etc.
    15" x 6' wheels & tyres.
Lack of engine has taken the life out of project and me.
    Everything practically there except motor.

My memory is not what it used to be, but didn't I already sell you a good engine for this project?

I have a square port head and inlet manifold which has been done up - sand blasted, pressure tested, planed and fitted with new valve seats, ie ready to go.

    You're not thinking of me?

    Hahaha, that's true.

No, I definitely remember you relieving my of a lifetime's supply of Ti motors, Toby.

But it's all coming back to me now... I took a motor from Adelaide to Melbourne for a 404 project (that was unpainted at the time) to a warehouse that looked just like the one in the photos above. It was a very good running 2 litre square port from a 1983 504 wagon. It was in my daily driver until I swapped the motor for a diesel (as I generally do).

That's right Scott, I believe it was about 7 years ago.
I gave the engine to someone to rebuild over 5 years ago.
Since then I have been ringing, texting, visiting, abusing and begging him to get the motor back, but every commitment or deadline has come and gone.
Basically I've given up and I just want to get the thing on the road or sell it.
The experience of waiting 5 years for a motor rebuild has zapped the life out of me.
    Life's too short.
