    Default Another Xantia being wrecked

This one is quite a nice series 1.

I think we can all guess what put this car off the road.

Believe it or not it still drives, amazingly it didn't burst any hydraulic lines so we put a chain over the strut to hold it down and drove it back. To drive it felt fine, just the steering needed alignment.

Looking at the picture of the driver's seat I assume the pilot had a little accident when that strut burst Alien like through the bonnet?

Ha ha, she might have too. She said it scared the crap out of her, luckily she was only in 1st gear and had only just started moving.
She thought she'd hit something but couldn't understand why the bonnet was like that and the front of the car was undamaged and yet she was still in the car park with nothing around her.

Is it champagne or silver? Does the drivers seat have any holes or tears?

Probably had just reversed on full lock and thereby placing maximum stress on the already worn out mount. BANG!

Thats interesting, thats exactly what happened. Dunno about the full lock bit but she had just reversed out of a car park, selected 1st and gone about 2-3 meters.

Its champagne and the seat does have the usual wear hole on the right hip shoulder pad part.
I'd say the car is in above average condition for something thats 18 years old and 1/4 million kms but it does have the usual wear on the seats.

As advised by Greg Bunting years ago when I discovered BEFORE the rip and clunk on my XM, that is typically when they happen.
