Default 406 v6 to good to wreck.

    This D8 406 V6 just arrived.

Its is very good condition, excellent body and paint. Drives well, has done 270,000km but you wouldn't know it.
Has been very well serviced all its life with the correct oils. Transmission is ZF (Not the troublesome AL4) and has had constant oil changes and still drives very well.
The tyres are fairly new Michelin.

    Its to good to wreck.

We got it because these engines and transmissions sell quickly but because of its outstanding condition we might be tempted to pass it on.

    Does look pretty nice.

But on the odd chance that you do dismantle it, I'd be interested in the trip computer if it has one...

Edit.... or even if you did plan on selling it, I'd be interested in swapping my clock for the trip computer if it has one

And in my first reply, when I said 'clock', I of course meant 'thermometer'.

    Hi David,

Were many 406 SV's fitted with the ZF transmission, and are they hard to come by?

    Thanks,

    Neil

I think D8 V6's were ZF. D9's AL4 and yes there hard to come by. Sorry, correction. Working ones are hard to come by.
