    these parts have to go

also have a GTI engine that did about 280,000 kms - the cabin burnt up in a fire that didn't spread to engine so am confident it is ok but may be some heat damage to cabling

also have a BA7/5 gear box (but no U joint at back) - out of the same car

also have clutch plate hardly used

Also have 4 Pug hub caps suitable for steal wheels

    Hi Fish

the back rode pretty high as I recall - I can measure the length of the springs now - but do you know how long they should be?

where is Wauchope? happy to post at the level you want
looks like the springs are about 32cm in length

I'm pretty sure it was the original box but it wasn't noisy

the issue with the car was the U joint - it broke so that part at the back of the box where the U joint lives is currently detached (I have the parts to reassemble, if needed)

unless something in the box broke when the u joint snapped and the back wheels locked up - the box should be fine

    so that's 280,000km approx.

    *crickets*

let us know ... we're getting rid of the shed and a lot of parts have to go - engine will probably be scrapped

but obviously the BA7/5 is a valuable item that I'd like to keep for my STI down the track
