    Default NZ Racing

    Hi,
I'm of to Taupo Motorsport park this weekend. Racing is on Saturday and Sunday. Racing is on the full track. That is the same track the A1GP cars used.

Best lap time last year this time was 1:59:8. Hope to improve on that if the weather allows it. Doesn't look good at the moment(wet).

Good luck Frans, go get em...
Every day when I wake up I reach up in the darkness with my eyes shut and if I cannot feel anything that resembles a wooden lid I know it will be a good day. No lid today.

    Default Hampton Downs

    Hi,

Off to Hampton Downs this weekend Saturday and Sunday for the second last event of the year of our series (ERC) European Racing Classics.

Up to now I haven't had a DNF yet. Lets hope it stays like that!

Best of luck Frans and the Blue Beast.

Make sure you have a good photographer handy maybe we get that calendar going? As you know, a lot of froggers here are following you and the beast.

    Default Season end

Hampton Downs again this weekend (Sunday) for the last race of the season. We will have a down time until end September when the racing starts with the Icebreaker Event.

I had to do some panel beating after last the last race although it was halfheartedly and I didn't do any spraypainting over the damage.

Schlitzaugen, the photographer remains a problem. Have to rely on others and hope to find them on the www.

    Regards
    Frans.

    Default Race entries.

This is a list of the entries received as at today.
There might be a few more at Friday so I expect about a grid of 30 in our Class.

    Hi,

I said that I would not be racing for a year but I failed. It could be withdrawal symptoms. I entered for Saturdays race and will take part amongst complete strangers. It is another class and it will be their last race of their season. I picked this lot just randomly and found out after entering that I will actually race on the new layout of the Pukekohe Circuit. That is where the V8's just had their race a week ago.

We'll just wait and see how it goes. I will report back sometime this weekend.

The new racing season starts this weekend and I'm back into it although things are not looking good.

Found a leaking gasket a week ago, after the removal and washing the head I dried it with compressed air and noticed how bubbles appear freely through the valve seats. So I stripped the head further and did a valve grind. The head was on last night and I added some fuel for a test drive and noticed that the rear brake fluid reservoir is empty. After checking it tonight I confirmed that it is leaking at the master, I hoped it was just the reservoir supply pipe.

So much to do and so little time!!

    Regards.

All done, luckily it was the reservoir pipe and that is sorted. The only worry now is that the head has only been re-torqued once. It should be torqued at least 3 times before racing, better still 4 times.

We will have to see what happens.

    Regards.
