Hmm, just had a look at wrc.com (it wasn't working earlier) and they say Loeb had a problem removing his lamp pod between the 1st and 2nd stages and his bonnet flew open on the road section, smashing his windscreen. He arrived at the 2nd stage 1 minute late so was given a 10s penalty. So Grönholm leads by 19 seconds.

Gronholm has a comfortable lead now over Loeb as we head into Day 3. Loeb has more than 2 mins of Carlsson and Galli - that's a great battle for the final podium with only 0.3 seconds difference. Galli has been flying, and a great performance by Carlsson also.

Atkinson hit a snow bank and tree on day 1, and Solberg had a driveshaft break on day 1. They are P14 and P15 respectively, way out of the points.

Day 3 aready started - gearbox problems for Marcus, mechanics are changing it now. He went off at the same place as Ekstrom, who retired. His lead is now just 14 seconds.

Is Atko nominated for constructors points?

If he is - his current position being 12 should mean that he may pick up a point or two for that championship....

Will be watching this tomorrow or the next day when I grab the tape from my dad I love rallying... Still go for Gronholm even though he's driving a furd
Murray : And there are flames coming from the back of Prost's car as he enters the swimming pool!
James Hunt: Well that should put them out then!

Atkinson is in the factory team for this rally, I assume that means he is up for manufacturer points. He ended up 10th, with Gronholm taking the win from Loeb
