Can the 8v beat the 16v.

Sam, can you let me know if you are coming or Moosey. As I would like you to take some photos with my camera on the track as I have no time in between heats.

Yep, had a good day today, good meet you all. I took about 540 pics (not all Pugs ). Great seeing Parry and Ash's 205 3 wheeling at every corner And to think, there could have been 6 205s running on the track if PeterT's and the Wuillemin's 205s were in working order
So how did everyone do? Lap times?

I'll sort through the pics and post the relevant/good ones asap

    Great day at the track

I was happy to put some faces to some names that I see on this forum! Here are some of the photos that I took. Great to meet parry, moosey, cam85 and 106 rallye and a whole stack of other folks. I have these in hi res if any one wants em.

Sorry that the track ones are blurred but I forgot to set the camera to high speed shutter. Doh!

    Enjoy

Certainly a real Pug posse developing at the CSCA events! When are they going to invite the PCCNSW to join? Good to catch up with you all - both old acquaintances and new!

It seemed to be a very busy day for me (probably because my son was driving for the first time!). I was very impressed with the Mi16x4. As a stock car and 400Kg heavier than the 205's, it performed exceptionally well. You can take any line you want through a corner! I haven't seen any official times, but I think I was doing low 57's most of the time. The hot 205's were doing 53-54 secs. Hopefully I'll have my 205 going for the next round.

Both Parry and Ashley were cocking their hind legs for a better of the 4th corner (about 10~15 meters continously). Parry is the winner with the max lift achieved easily over any other competitor on the track.

    Well done guys.

I should bring a camera next time.

Thanks for all the aussiefroggers that came along, its nice to have people to chat with, especially as we were outnumbered by all those Lotus Elises.

Ashley and I had a mixed emotions of a day. The ran perfectly with no hiccups, bar a slight slipping clutch.

But we were dissapointed in our times. Our best of the day was a 53:6 which is not a huge imporvement over our previous best of 54.2. Considering we have increased the horsepower from 62kw at the wheels to 92kw, we were expecting low 53s or even 52s. It could be that the temps were quite high, or we just need to learn how to driver the car again.

Times from memory (official results will be posted on Natsoft later this week)

    Hans 205 Mi16 Track Car 53.2
    Parry 205 8valve track car 53.6

How much do 205s actually weigh? are they any heavier with the 16v engine?
