    Default New Ferrari Breaks Cover

    http://www.f1racing.net/en/gallery.php?catID=1924

Looks like they are hanging on to their stupid front wing
Lets hope all those little detail will propel them back to the front.
These 06 cars are all so tightly packaged, just look at the mid section of the car. The air intake are getting smaller and smaller! The mirror looks pretty cool as well. The F2006 makes the toyota looks boring...Oops forgot they are the boring bunch.

As a side note, I really dont think Scuderia Toro Rosso V10 car will really worry the big boys except for Midland and JV in his beemer

Lets hope not. They have had a good run and now its time for Kimi in the McLaren to kick ass

A lovely looking car, the F2006, besides the silly mini front wing.

It also looks like the car is a darker shade of red, if only they would return to scarlet.

The rear wing looks far better in black than it does in white, as they used to be pre-2000.

Shame that Marlboro and Vodafone will spoil the good looks of the car.

Remember no more Vodafone, they've swap camp to the McLaren.

    14 December 2005

VODAFONE WILL BE McLAREN MERCEDES TITLE SPONSOR
Vodafone and the McLaren Mercedes Formula One team today announce a long-term sponsorship agreement, commencing January 2007 which will last into the next decade. Vodafone will become Title Sponsor of the Team – ‘Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ and the ‘Official Mobile Partner’.

The sponsorship demonstrates Vodafone’s ongoing commitment to the Formula One World Championship, a sport which continues to deliver massive global television coverage and which has significant appeal for Vodafone’s consumer and business customers around the world.

Aren't Ferrari going racing with a red & white paint job, so they can get by the law makers. We call it "Subliminal" marketing.

Just had a look at beemer's new car, jeez the paint job look average! They got a go fast strips in the middle of JV's car looks quicker.

The BMW Sauber has a very bland livery. It's a shame really, as previous BMW based liveries were very nice (my favourite being the BMW/Parmalat Brabham's of the 80's.)

The nosecone section looks completely different on the BMW Sauber, it looks a lot lower than what we've seen in the last few seasons.

Also interesting is the mirrors on the F2006, they are very far from the cockpit and have a very acute angle when looking from profile view. Very different to Renault's mirror 'solution' on the new R26.

    Pic's attached

It's just soooo damn bland that car.

and what the hell is up with JV's glasses? He's got the whole Harry Potter look trying to happen.

I agree with you Playlife - the BMW brabhams always looked sensational. I'm was never too convinced about the livery of the WilliamsBMW's and BMW's LM effort was very bland too!

I wonder why ferrari has such fuzzy treatment for their front endplate when cars like McLaren have such nice & clean design (also one of the fastest). The beemer solution is clearly going the same way as the R25 & R26.
JV's glasses & receding hairline makes him look alike a computer nerd, but not a very bright one.

New McLaren debuted last night in Barcelona. The nose shape is now very similar to the Renault. The side pods are even more aggresively sculpted than last years.

What's everyone's opinion on the interim orange livery that McLaren are running around in?

Personally I think it's great! and secretly I hope that they keep using it for the season.

You know what they say about a fast/good looking when standing still. The MP4-21 gets my vote for the best lookin car out of all the new V8s.

McLaren have actually reverted back to their nosecone of 2004, which everyone had called the ''ant-eater nose''. It was Renault who took a leaf out of McLaren's book last year.

As for the orange livery, that is of course McLaren's traditional colour as used in the 60's/70's in F1 and Can-Am. I believe that Haug stated that they will be returning to silver for the season proper. McLaren used the orange McLaren livery back in testing of 1997 as well.

The new Ferrari is the 248 F1. 24 because it has a 2400cc engine, and 8 because it of course has 8 cylinders. Great to see Ferrari going back to using the engine stats to name their models.
