Default ANDY CALDECOTT died today on the paris-dakar

41 year old australian motorbike rider Andy Caldecott died on the dakar rally today when he came off the bike and broke his neck.
Ive followed him since 2 years ago when he had his first ride as a privateer and finished both dakars[04,05].
I was very sad to hear the news and felt like id lost a freind even though ive never met him.
He is from Keith Sth Australia and is suvived by his wife and young daughter.
He did both rallies with financial help from the towns people of Keith Sth Australia.
He was only in the rally at the last moment when the ktm team had a rider pull out.
They offered the factory ride to andy.
He was an extremly liked fellow by the people close to him and the racing /rally fraternity.

He is the 23rd person to die doing the paris-dakar rally from when it started in 1976[i think].
Ill miss looking out for the one aussie in the rally i could root for.
    RIP ANDY CALDECOTT
