Will be interesting if the Super Aguri team gets a late entry into the F1 championship next year.....

I have my doubts as they would need to get signatures from all 10 teams for this to happen - Which would in theory reduce the TV money to the teams - and if your Midland you dont want to be team 11 when only the top 10 get funding....

James Hunt: Well that should put them out then!

It has been confirmed that the Super Aguri team will not be participating in the 2006 championship.

A shame really, it would be good to get a few more teams in there.

Hard to think that 15 years ago we had as many as 37 cars trying to fill the limited 26 spots on the grid.

Yeah it's a shame - probably something to do with the fact that they want about $48US Million to be posted as a "bond" before they allow your entry...

Good to see Mikko Hirvonen has been rewarded with a drive at Ford for his good drives in a privateer Focus this year
I wonder if we'll see more privately entered cars next year, seeing as so many people are without a seat?

I put my money on Loeb at Kronos to make history again. Winning on privateer entered WRC car.

I think in all honesty McRae will want a better drive the Skoda, wether or not he gets its another mater. It's also suprising to see Markko Martin, and Fracois Duval without seats either, Gardemeister I don't rate so highly. It would be nice if there was one 1 more citroen, and 1 more ford, and if Rovanpera gave up his seat because he really isn't all that useful on most surfaces

put jenson in the same car as rubens and it would be interesting to see what would happen.

The ferrari was the stronger car past few seasons

I'll be interested to see if Marko comes back at all. He understandably has taken the crash in Rally GB quite hard. As for Duval - there arent any big budget teams left that can afford to absorb his crash rate into their budgets!!!

That said I reckon he'll be at Skoda alongside McRae next year - I reckon the Skoda's not a bad car at all - McRae proved it's capabilitiy at Rally Oz - Running as high as 2nd outright!

Me too, much smoother than Rubens, thats I'm certain on. I love Jensons entry and exit smoothness, just brilliant.
I think he is very underated. As Orested suggested Ruben will give him more than a run for his money, but I think all those years in Fezza has actually hurt Rubens early flame.

Umm Playlife were you the one with the "You heard it here first - Webber going to Renault?" better search for that thread & ask a few questions!

Asanka, i doubt i'd give you lock nuts to do up. There's about 20(?or so?) to be tightened & i'm sure you'd miss a few. I'd focus on Billy carts if i were you

Next year should be very interesting!!! *looks at calendar*

No it wasn't me, I don't rank Webber that highly and don't see why Flavio would put his two drivers he is manager of in the same team...because he was lose value in one or both if they don't live up to expectation. Business wise, it's a stupid move.

Rubens has definitly stayed at ferrari too long. playing second best to schumi has hurt him.

As much as i'd like to go to melbourne for the race dont think i'll be able to
