Wonderful however that isnt for the f1 season proper, just that masters racing thing, anyway all we really need is someone to take Neil Crompton's spot & the f1 viewing experience will be a bit easier to tolerate.

He has a new book out as well! But I have yet to see it at the bookstore.
I got him to sign mine when he was out here a few years ago

So you want to fix that with Murray Walker???

The whole experience would be improved immensely if they just put those two channel 10 ******s on mute with their 'expert' comments

I tend to agree with that. Murray Walker made loads of howlers, and he progessively got worse with age. James Allen is pretty good IMO and I think Brundle is a fantastic commentator with real insight.

I remember that Murray missed the '88 Hungarian Grand Prix, due to unusual scheduling of the RAC Rally. The guy who stood in for him in that race was fantastic... does anyone remember his name?

I suppose you have to admire the Channel 10 'experts' for being able to relate any event in world motorsport to what happened with the V8 Supercars the previous weekend

Ben Edwards and John Watson are a great combination, now both commentating on A1GP. They used to do the F1+ digital feed a few years back (offered in Europe, unfortunately not here).

Brundle is probably my favourite commentator of all, his knowledge and ability to read situations is incredible, and his dry wit keeps it entertaining.

Murray Walker is great, irrespective of his errors. It's obvious he knows what he is talking about, but his words in the midst of excitement get jumbled up and I'm sure that anyone who is enthusiastic about the sport as he is can sympathise.

James Allen is ok, certainly a lot better than most. He's a lot better than Johnathon Palmer was - he may have had the knowledge but he lacked everything else.

James Hunt was always good value for money, not holding back despite being clearly wrong in some cases.

I recall someone taking Murray Walker's place in the 1985 German GP, but cannot recall his name. I believe there was a clash that weekend with the British 500cc GP.

It was nice to hear Mr Walker commentating again after afew years ago and he had so much info about the drivers, unlike nowadays on F1

It was a Great race and to hear all the old names again racing.

Fittipaldi kept Mansell honest all the way through the race

    Cheers chips.

    Simon Taylor perhaps?

My favourite is Bob Constanduros, the guy who commentates live at the circuit at most, if not all, GP's.
