    Default Gronholm to Ford 2006/7

Leob yet to decide, as Citroen could be back in 2007.

    That was a big surprise.

There was talk of Gronholm and Seb teaming up in a privately entered Citroen team for next year.

EDIT: FIAT in 2007/8 with the Punto.

Also, Lada will enter the WRC next year (not sure which model) and FIAT in 2007/8 with the Punto.
I guess it's way too late to have a privateer team, Colin McRae tried to do it last time Cit dumped him but only 2-3 months left until pre-season testing you can't get sponsors to pour out money that way...

I kinda expected Gronholm to go to Ford, with the current climate maybe Leob will go to Ford, Mitsubishi or stay with Cit.

I hope Colin McRae gets a drive next year, he's always fun to watch.

If Citroen don't return then my money is on Subaru to win. Afterall it will really only be a two horse race.

It should be easy meat for Subaru next year.

Despite having Gronholm, Ford won't be able to make up that kind of ground within a year. It will take time for Gronholm to get into the groove with a new car, let alone a new manufacturer. Having said that, Gardemeister had an excellent year so only time will tell.

It's a shame to lose 2 teams; hopefully Galli and Rovanpera remain at Mitsubishi because I think they've done well this year and have been unlucky at times.

Apologies, I misread the article, they're not entering WRC, a few too many

It'll be interesting to see the development of the new Ford WRC06 at Rally Oz. Could be a indicator of what's to come in 2006.
