Its not far off I think. Perhaps the 15th of October I think but not too sure. Check the PCCV website

I have booked DECA for the 13th of November.
This is a motorsport event, laps of the track and motorkhana tests on the skid pan.

Graham do you need CAMS officials there ? I've just signed up for a trainee license, would be good to upgrade to Grade 4 asap. I need two more events.

Graham, will there any chance that Mike and I could get any non-competing time on the skidpan at DECA? We want to get a feel for our cars with more advanced driving, i.e handbreak turns.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Certainly, but in a competition format. I guarantee you will learn heaps.
Some years ago we ran a training session on the big track first up and before the competition, how many would be more likely to attend the day if this was added? You will need to enter the whole day, not just the training, due to insurance reasons.

    Hahaha nice one!

Anyway, i think that DECA is great for using and refining skills that you already have, thats why i asked if could get some time to have a 1 on 1 with the car. i think i'll risk WD-ing in the motorkhana for some 1 on 1 .

    Hi,
    Questions regarding the training...

    How much the training cost?

Can I join in with vic road license?

& what can we learn from the driver training?

    cheers!

    Hi Graham,
i'll find out when my uni exams are next week - if before DECA then i'll come, if not then i'll probably try and come anyway!
Chef, i think you need a CAMS level 2 speed license for this event because of the track runs; not sure if you'd only need a 2NS if you only competed in the motorkhana - Graham?

    Regards,
    Andrew

Its not that much trouble to get yourself a cams licence. Any how i think that you need to be a member of the PCCV to enter this event - thats how it was last year, and i'm assuming that you're not a member as you don't have a cams licence.

I think you can get a temp CAMS license on the day, but for the BFYB factor it's good to join PCCV now and get the CAMS license for the whole year.

You can join the PCCV and buy a CAMS licence at the start of the event.
Both of these are good for one year.
You will get value on the club memebership with the great PCCV magazine as well as discounts on parts at certain outlets.
The CAMS licence will give also you a discount at Autobarn, must remember to take mine whe I go there!! http://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/new...eply&p=249581#

Entry form and event regulations will be posted here in a few weeks.

Last year I couldn't compete because the club decided that i had to be a member. Also they decided not to allow people to sign up on the day. I'm not sure, Graham is the man to ask.
