Worst results ever, 43rd out of 53! (Sounding more and more like a broken record these last couple of years)!

Track very slippery not many record times broken. Only one record in my class bettered & I did not lose any of my historic record test times. (Having said that Reece McIntosh in his BMW M3 E46 broke 7 record times in his class, a number were times he had set previously) So the rest of us must just be crap drivers! Reece finish 9th outright!!

My problems started with a Wrong Direction in test No.1 (End of any chance of winning class). I did 2 more before the end of the 12 tests!! I did do a couple of fastest class times in reversing tests.(Looks like I can still drive backwards, just not forwards)!

Problems started with rear tyre choice. One set far too slippery, second set (Road tyres) a bit too grippy however pumping them up to 40psi and changing my driving technique made the road tyres the best. This change of style completely over taxed my brain I guess!

Still a quick 3 day 1600 Km dash down and back up the Hume to perform dismally was worth it, I STILL had a great time.

The Hume was full of "wackers" set on cruise control overtaking at 1Kph faster than everyone else and holding the road up for Km's!!!!!

Sat the 205 between 109 & 110Kph (Lots of white cars with sirens in the bushes) all the way down and back averaged 43MPG.

I’ll get Danielle to give you a few pointers next time she sees you!

Still, you had a good time and that’s the main thing. Plus I assume you’re home with the car in one piece, another bonus.

If Danielle will give me some pointers in driving forward, I will help her with her reversing.
(That's the only driving I am any good at).

Not sure if all that driving was good fun, though the social side of competing (and ) with people I have known for over 30 years was.

I love doing Motorkhanas, will have to try to make it the the Australian Championships in the not to distant future.

I reckon it would be a great experience to do in the R12

    She needs it!
I don’t have access to her practise spot anymore, need to find a new one.

You could come up with the other Tassie driver Steven Turner MSCT. Steven has entered the last 3 and says he is coming back next year (Brisbane?).

Only ever heard of 2 cars rolling over in a motorkhana, 1st was a Reno 12 and 2nd a Reno 10, me!

The R12 drove too wide and over a bank, I drove the R10 too fast around a flag and the rear wheel tucked.

I promptly shortened the straps and they stayed short from that day on!

Still a good well driven R12 should do well.

I know Steve, he is a lot faster than me in his Mirage. Will have to keep Brisbane in mind. I have friends there where I could stay. Will have to see how it fits in with work.
