    Default F1 - 2019 - Hockenheim

Hockenheim is off to a great start. Buss driver managed to take out the start light. Wonder if anyone noticed?

Pierre Gasly wiped out his car in practice. He seemed to get out of the car under his own steam. Accident after 1:20.

Rotten luck for Charles. Karma for Vettel.

Ham-Max-Bott 1-2-3. Cant wait for Max to get stuck into Hamilton on race day. I wonder what excuses will come if he gets out driven by Max.

Daniel a slow 12th. Unbelievable that both Ferraris broke down in Quali. I really hope the new rules allow for some more reliability somehow. Credit to the Mercs for being there to take the pole and have their cars actually work.

Mercedes are unbelievably slow here. For a Honda engined Red Bull to wedge them just shows that. If both Ferraris start, a long chase might result in victory!

I suspect theat weather will have a big impact. Mercs have been suffering issues with hight temps on hot days, forcing them to manage the heat by turning the engine power down, so Max's best chance is hot day.

The Honda engines have come a long way in power and reliability this year, or Max would be half way down the field. They still have some ways to go, but it's all good.

I'd like to see Max and Hamilton take each other out, preferrably in thh first corner.

Fantastic race. Good to see Hamilton is human and made a costly error (2 actually). Mercedes actually had the Netflix docco team inside the garage all weekend so looking forward to that!

Stella drive from Max and great to see anyone but a Mercedes up there. Kvyat drove well to finish 3rd and my mate Seb didn't crash into anyone or the wall this time to come home strong in 2nd!

Bitter luck for Hulkenberg who once again stuffed his own podium chance by binning it from 3rd.

What race, cant remember one since Button winning at Canada that was that exciting!

I agree, great viewing for the spectators.

Maybe they should intall sprinklers at all tracks and run them all in changing weather conditions

Red Bull made a new record, set the fastest pit stop, four tyres for Max in 1.88 seconds.

Somehow ferrari would have someone inside the system to out them on at ‘just the right time’... Great idea!

Steiner on possibility of team orders at HAAS https://au.motorsport.com/f1/news/st...ashes/4503474/

My solution. Every time they clash/crash/contact HAAS should bring in their reserve driver to sub, first one in the next race and then the other at the following race. If the sub out performs either, he gets their job. Should make them think.

Fly by wire is in every airliner. Imagine if the aeroplane's clutch didn't work properly......

Sometime they don't, didn't they recently lose couple of planes with all onboard because sensor failed, there was no back up and the computer didnt allow the pilots to take control to recover the plane.

When you say "they" you mean Boeing, the company too cheap to design a new aircraft without deathly tendencies. The computer in the Alfas didn't allow the drivers to control the clutch fully for 300 milliseconds. They and everyone else on the track are lucky to be alive, surely!

I think the rain had greater impact on their luck.

But it was interesting to note that Kimi was running 3rd on the first lap, maybe those nano seconds made a diference, but it was only from 5th spot on the grid, so maybe the old fox just got the start right

With my tongue firmly in cheek!
Who would of thought a Finn could of done a 'wet race start' what with the snow, Rallying and dirt roads in his DNA (DriverNormalApptitude).
