Default Ford vs Ferrari - new movie due November 2019 - GT40 - Le Mans 1966

Movie due release November 2019, the story of Ford vs Ferrari and the GT40 development to win Le Mans 1966.
OK, the only thing French about this may be the Le Mans circuit, but I know there is some interest in the GT40 generally (including me!). I am hoping there will be a fair bit of original racing film, but one can only hope.

It looks like the movie will feature driver Ken Miles, which will make it interesting for me, as I am old enough to have been following the US sports car scene in the 1960s (from afar), and Ken was I believe the largely unrecognised test and development driver for Carroll Shelby and Ford. He was a co-driver in the winning GT40s at Daytona 24hr and Sebring 12hr as well as being on the Le Mans team. But we only hear about AJ Foyt and Dan Gurney. As long as the movie stays reasonably true to history, it should be a good one.

Just as a reminder of these beautiful cars, this link to my album of GT40s I have got up close to recently (I have posted this before on the forum if it looks familiar).

Henry Ford is famous for making mass produced black cars. Ferrari is famous for making great cars, usually red........
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............
