    Default Azerbaijan Grand Prix

FP1 abandoned and won't be continued after only a few minutes. George Russel in his Williams whacked a cast steel man hole cover at 180 mph. Damage to the cars floor and whatever else. The cover was apparently not properly located, the cover will need to be reattached to the road and every other cover checked, hopefully before the F2 practice begins. The FP2 session for the F1 cars will be the first chance they get to do some laps.

Then the tow truck hits the bridge on the way back to the pits and covers the Williams with hydraulic fluid 🤤

Whilst the Ferraris topped the time sheets in FP2, just in front of the Mercedes, no-one seemed to be immune from generously missing corners and having serious lock-ups. FP3 today will be a much more serious session than normal as all teams try to overcome a lack of running yesterday.
