Highlights again every evening at 5-30 pm on SBS,starting today.
Once again hoping Seb Loeb gets a win in the Pug,plus the OZ bike rider Toby Price winning again.

Thanks for the reminder, I had forgotten all about it, love this event, would love to get there to watch it in the flesh sometime.

Ref: Home | Media Peugeot Sport

Peugeot 3008DKR MAXI First and Second after stage 6 and rest day. That's 50% attrition rate from a huge sand hole and a rock and still 66% to go. It looks a super hard race! There are still three factory cars and one privateer 3008DKR Maxi running. Seb Loeb's car fell in a sand hole and withdrew due to co-driver's back injuries. Shame his car could continue also as it looked in good condition still. Back injuries seem very common in this Dakar!

Previous (2015) Dakar bike winner Australian Toby Price is sitting in 5th place after day six, could be looking to improve in the Marathon stage.....

Stage 7 and there is only one Peugeot 3008DKR Maxi at the top position. "Stéphane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret, the problem started when they were overtaking a motorbike at kilometre 186. They didn’t see a rock in the dust, breaking the shock absorber and suspension triangle, which stopped them in their tracks. "

All over and Peugeot with Carlos Sainz held on to win, good low risk type driving and a bit of luck.
Toby Price got third, not a bad catch up after he and a few others lost 50mins getting lost a few days back.
