Default F1 - Will Raikkonen retire at end of 2017

Media recently asked Kimi on his intention for next year. He said he had decided but would not let the cat out of the bag yet.

IMO it's too early in the year for Ferrari to have agreed to extend him for another year, so I think his decision is to pull the pin.

Vettel is clearly Ferrari's future and Kimi wont enjoy playing second fiddle and he has always said he will stop when he no longer enjoys racing.

Vettel recently indicated he was happy at Ferrari and could see no reason for team change.

Both Vettel's and Raikkonen's contracts are coming up at end of this year as is Bottas'.

Whilst I would not predict how the cards will fall towards the end of this season one thing is for certain.
    ALONSO.
A divisive, irascible and intense driver.
He can command a top drive anywhere that doesn't have a path with burnt bridges.

I'm thinking a yellow car, but I doubt that it's ready to win in 2018.

Fair comment, but there will also potentially be opening at McLaren, wouldn't that be "interesting" and another one at Ferrari, both cars being competitive, I think that could be almost as "interesting"

    Anudder rumour

Just read that Ricciardo has verbal understanding that if Vettel leaves, he will go to Ferrari. Currently, I think there is very little chance that Vettel will leave.
