    Jack Murray would simply have bled and adjusted the brakes whilst the vehicle was in such a favourable position.......

    In his era of cars, all that would have needed, would have been to roll the car on wheels and check the battery, before driving away, particularly if rolled in snow.

    would have given time for the 'navigator' to consult the Melways, and the 1:100,000 Army Survey Map.
