Default 2017 Bathurst 12 Hour Race

Apart from F1 this is my favourite Motorsport event shown on TV.
Channel 7 Mate are showing it.
Telecast starts Saturday at 3.30pm EDST for an hour. This is the Top 10 shootout.
Then the race telecast on Sunday is from 5.30am and continues to 6pm according to my TV guide.

Some great marques and drivers and the Nissans have provided real excitement at the finish for the last couple of years

I'll be there, virtually, at least! Live streaming is available tomorrow morning as well!

I'll be at the track again. Absolutely love it, worth driving there just for the sound alone!

Van Gisbergen should have his licence revoked! Absolute Dick! I agree with his team-mates assessment: Lots of (stupid) mistakes.....

    G'day,
he did apologise and accept blame. A very classy response according to the tv interviewer.

Did he offer to pay for the weekend's costs for the entrants of the Porsche he apparently deliberately nerfed into the wall and whose weekend he ruined? What about parking his AMG in the middle of the race track when he could have parked it off the track?? No apology there, I notice. His judgement as a driver is in question, he appears totally irresponsible.........

You forgot about the Ferrari he put on grass at high speed. I'll be surprised if his regular team mate will be pleased

    G'day,
i have no idea, I only saw a bit of the interview.
I assume the stewards or CAMS or whoever will look into it.
    regards,

    G'day,
I'm sure they will act in a professional manner...especially with 100's of cameras watching.

He had few too many "that's" for the money they pay him. His team mate seemed to agree.

Not one for hyperbole responses, but it does seem he loses the plot every now and then.

He deliberately turned around David Reynolds at Phillip Island (at very high speed) in the penultimate round of the 2015 SC Championship (effectively costing Reynolds any hope of winning the Championship) and he showed no remorse whatsoever, and went as far as saying he'd do the same thing again...
His reasoning was apparently because of an accidental altercation in the ardgy bardgy of the first corner...
Pathetically he got docked a few inconsequential points for an incident that easily could've destroyed a car and injured a driver, whereas Reynolds was fined $25K for an off the cuff sexist comment.

When the powers that be put political correctness infront of safety, you're going to have drivers that have little respect for other competitors and officials on the track

Default 2017 Bathurst 12 Hour Race

Spotted two 205 GTI's around the track. Miami blue and a black / grey one - we gave the black one a thumbs up out the window.

    Great weekend as always!

Before all that started, there were improved production cars on track as one of the support categories. There is a young bloke who throws a Honda Civic around. His speed over the top was prodigious. Other than three serious v8 entries, he was reliably fast. Find the footage, you'll love it.

Well done Maranello Motorsport. Great car, top line drives, excellent team behind them. Shouldn't be a surprise.
