    personally, i am truly amazed rally spectator deaths are so rare.

    Latvala said after the test stage that he had never seen so much ice and snow at Monaco and it was going to be tricky.

    Juha Kankkunen commonting on the new rules, said in an interview before the start of the rally, that he agreed with most of the new rules, but felt the aero changes were a step in the from direction. The aero changes would make the cars extremely difficult to drive on the limit and once that point is reached, the driver becomes a passanger

    Re accidenr- some early reports suggest that other spectators were trying to warn the unfortunate spectator that he was in an unsafe position.

    Another off at Monte Carlo, Italian Fabio Andolfi in Fiat Abarth 124 Rally. Early indications are that there were no serious injuries to the crew
