    Default Phillip Island Sprints 11.12.16

The Alfa Club are running the last of their sprint events for the year. I've entered my Mi16.
    Any other Frenchies going?

I would love to, but my car is currently in this state getting it's cage... it's likely to be a month or two before it's usable again!

No worries. Hopefully we can arrange a day there or Sandown early next year.

    Who's doing the cage?

Trackart in Bayswater, dropped off yesterday, should take 2-3 weeks, then I need to figure out that wiring and get all the suspension aligned. Theoretically it'll be ready to go again at that stage.

My 306 looks about like that too, but I am hoping to be ready to run by March next year.

Had a great day down at the Island on Sunday. Always a treat to head back there.

I'd spent the year lightening it further, getting another 60kgs out of it by gutting the door innards, perspex windows, lightweight boot and bonnet as well as a full chassis rewire keeping only the essentials. Also had full data logging installed.

Added some aero by way of a splitter & under tray and genuine BTCC rear wing.

I used the morning sessions to make sure there were no problems as I didn't have time to test the car at Winton beforehand.

Satisfied all was good and with the sun out in the arvo sessions was able to make some good improvements on previous lap times getting down to a 1:53.8.
