Default Fq Russian round - Vettel penalty

Vettel gets a five grid place penalty in Russia. His gearbox was damaged in China during his run in with Kimi, hence the penalty. Gearboxes are supposed to do 5 consecutive races.

Wonder what the stewards will give Hamilton for incorrectly re-entering the track? As if he needed anything else on top of his power unit problem. Ricciardo will start 5th on the grid.
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............

The engine effectively dropped him to 10th and whatever the Stewarts decide.

Bottas 2nd for the first time for long time (Austria 2014??)

Good to see the pace of the Williams finally. Unlucky for Seb (karma) and Hamilton. Its going to prove an exciting race with grid like it is. Rosberg did a very quick lap in the end, I wondered if Hamilton could have gone better??

Looking forward to the race tonight

He well may have, Nico stuffed up his last run and his time was slower in Q3 than he was in Q2 (.08 s).

When they both get their best laps in there is often nothing between them time wise.

It's interesting re Williams, lately Bottas has struggled to beat Massa in Qualifying, but was over .5 sec ahead yesterday.
