Default F1 - Ferrari have a Turbo problem

Ferrari have a turbo problem and wont be able to use full power until new turbo unit become available in round five in Spain. It will have most impact on long straights affecting top speed. The problem could cost Ferrari .5 in lap speed.

Kimi's fire in the air intake box in Melbourne is related to this problem.

And presumably Vettel's exit on the formation lap yesterday is due to the same problem?

Vettel said immediately after the event that he did not think it was same problem Kimi had. Vettel's engine lost power with trailing smoke, Kimi's engine did not lose power, apparently turbo failure and fire in airbox. Kimis engine did not need replacing

Was satisfying watch Vettels motor cark it. Karma has no expiary

Not so satisfying that it made for a less interesting race.

Good to see the redbull of Daniel had some pace. I think thats surprising the team!

I think the pace of the Red Bull is surprising. Daniel has clearly showed he has the pace if the car is performing.

Whats interesting is that MAx Verstappen in the Toro Rosso outpointed Daniels team mate DAniil Kvyat, which will only fuel the rumours that Max will get Kvyat's seat next year and he goes to Toro Rosso.

The other point of interest in Bahrain was Alosno's replacement Stoffel Vandroorne scored points (10th). Button was running in seventh when he suffered engine failure. Looks like McLaren has better speed but reliability, or lack thereof is still an issue
