Default 405 Mi16 at Phillip Island

The Alfa Club ran the last of their SuperSprint series for 2015 at Phillip Island yesterday which was an opportunity to run the 405 again before it goes on a weight loss programme.
They had me in the Over 2 litre class so plenty of quicker cars but the Pug got into the 1:56's which was a 3 second improvement on previous efforts. New gearing was perfect hitting the limiter at the braking point of the main straight.
A few missed gear changes & plenty of missed apexes, but was a fun day.

    Looks like fun!

Good to see that interior trim up under the windscreen is missing, as is in mine too.

Philip island is a great track!

I might have one or two of those dash strips in the shed.

Really? They are ABS and distort terribly! A good one would be of great interest.

Well done Jeff. I checked how you were going around mid day and you had 1:57. The track must have cleared up and warmer in the afternoon for a cracker lap!

There was probably more time to be found but a competitor brought the day to an early finish with damage to the tyre wall leading onto the straight. FWD lift off oversteer. He was lucky to come out of it with only bruising. Car was totalled though.
