    Default Rossi

The guy has got a very thick hide! Kicks another rider off, gets a smack on the wrist with a feather duster and still appeals
He is in a class with Schumacher and Vettel.

yep, I agree. an incredible rider who doesn't actually need to play mind games
with his competitors, but has a long history of doing so, very effectively undermining
Biaggi and Gibernau. but to provoke Marquez was desperate and greedy.
it's sad that success so often breeds self-privileging and contempt for others.

I was critical of Rossi initially, now not so sure. Interview where Rossi defends himself.

The overhead view, which Rossi claims shows that Marquez pulled his foot of the peg, the video at 0: 42 suggest that this may have happened and if it did, was Rossi was set up?

That's a Rossi leg off the peg I think. I'd been rooting for the old guy to win all year but now I don't care after seeing him ride Marquez off the track.

His nonsensical comments at the pre race interview about Lorenzo and Marquez wanting to stop him making a record of world championship wins so they can eventually beat him was bizarre. He's lost the plot.

I'm a die hard Rossi fan, but must admit that was not one of Rossi's finest moments.

Will make it almost impossible for Rossi to win the championship from the back of the grid.

Rossi even admitted that he ran wide and slowed on purpose - as was obvious. In a race a rider normally puts his arm up when he slows down. Running wide is usually a function of going too fast and not slowing down.
The kick is a half plausible excuse but i would have thought if the handle bar pushed it would have pushed it towards his bike and not out?
    Guilty as charged.

It was a cat and mouse game, and the mouse fell off. I think it was extremely skillful of Rossi to force Marquez to slow, but extremely stupid of marquez to try to knock Rossi off by slamming with his front wheel. One of the camera views shows that as Rossi accellerates (the front forks on his bike start to extend) Marquez turns his wheel violently into the side of Rossi's bike, and that was his undoing.

If Rossi was so fast why wasn't he up with Lorenzo? Surely, all of them have a right to fight for a podium? Isn't that what they are paid for or is Honda supposed to help other teams? I think passing others anywhere on a race track is allowed Think of Languna Seka, Cork Screw and Rossi passing Stoner.

Marques out qualified Rossi by .264 of a second, at least one of the Ducati riders is of the view that Marques had the speed to run with the two leaders, but decided to spoil Rossi instead. Every time Rossi passed Marquez he re-passed Rossi with what seemed like ease.

I don't hold firm view either way at present, but I would not be surprised if the appeal overturns the penalty.

Either way, the feud is bad for the sport, regardless of who is right/wrong, although both of them should wear some blame.

From one angle it looks like a simple shove from rossi, but from another it looks like rossi was run into and simply defended.
I'd have done exactly the same in rossi's position which probably means he is guilty!!

It will be overturned. After all it's business.

I'll spit my dummy if the penalty is dropped! I'm looking forward to Rossi
trying to make his way forward from the back with all the Spanish guys
    lying in wait...
for me the clincher was Rossi's body language at the end of the Sepang race,
he knew he'd done wrong and was preoccupied with sussing out
how to charm and bullshit his way out of the situation.
