    Default Vale Wayne Griffiths

    Sad News.

    " Vale Wayne Griffiths"
Sadly we note the passing of Wayne Griffiths yesterday morning.
On behalf of the Mini Car Club NSW our condolences to Ruth and the family.

... Wayne was very well known in the NSW Motorkhana scene from training juniors to taking titles him self, Wayne has won the Australian Motorkhana Championships twice 2002 in Melbourne, 2006 in Willowbank, even the rookie trophy at the Hay Mini Nationals in 1996. And all the class wins at Awaba, Nirimba, and more.
    Rest in Peace Wayne

I am surprised that there has been no response to BIGRR's post. Wayne was a member of the Renault Car Club as well, for very many years.

Motorkhana is unfortunately the shallow end of the motorsport gene pool.

Tee-total non-smoking obsessive compulsives and anal retentives thrive in the environment.... AND NEVER LEAVE!

While Wayne may have qualified for some of these arguable qualities, he was one of the few who would offer support to the newcomer.

    Vale.

    Vale.
    G'day,
    RIP Wayne.

Some good things about motorkhana are...
being able to see the whole course from any position
you are allowed to walk through the 'pits'
drivers are always willing to talk to you
you can run what you brung
    spectator entry cost
    regards,
    Les W.

There was a large contingent of khana and club people present at Wayne's funeral. Myself and at least 8 RCCA members present. Wayne was a life member of RCCA. The lack of comment here to Wayne's vale notice from Rob (where most people probably wouldn't know him), was not reflective of the send off afforded him.
