I finally won the 2015 AMC for class "C".

    I have entered the 205 10 times now, for 4 x 3rd, 2 x 2nd and 1 x 1st incudes one DNF Broken clutch cable (I am improving).

Lots of mean looking opposition cars in the class.

Only hit two flags, one during the motorkhana tests and one during the shoot out (Bugger x 2).

I came 3rd outright on handicap & also may have won the teams award (Bugger the 2 flags).

    Results not finalised yet.

The other two Pugs also went well.

Outright winner was Scott Bennet from WA (Mini Special) (Scott also won last year and in 2009).

Well done, very well driven and the car was certainly getting around the tighter turns very well.

    Congratulations Robert!

You drove really well and thoroughly deserved the win.

There was some tough opposition in class c and it was good to see a fellow Pug driver prevail.

Hope to give you a bit more of a run for your money next time.

    Cheers, Patrick.

    Thanks Patrick,

I also think you drove well for a relatively new motorkhana hand.

Does this mean that you will be attending the WA nationals next year?

I would love to come over to WA and help you drive your car!

I will not be driving to WA, the 19 hours and 1700km I have just driven over 3 days is quite enough for me.

I think WA might be a wee bit too far afield for me too.

Guess it'll be a few more years before it returns to Victoria or even South Australia?

Congrats and we'll driven Robert! Won the day and then drove home with the Evil Black Octopus Box of Death (EBOBD), what an effort! Big thanks.

I have thought about this before (when I had lots of Qantas points) though the train loaders may find the rat a little tricky to start.

    Will re-think it though:-)

Hello Big R. Have just returned to the grind after a week away.
Finally we have met face to face. Good to meet you. Certainly, congratulations must go your way for a determined effort and a well driven day, suitably rewarded with the class C win. That 205 does turn well. Pity that you did not enjoy the day as much as i did though!! Will have more tests under the belt when we next meet to do battle, so, until then.Geoff.

    Geoff,

we all can't laze around in convertibles in the sun all day, I was sunburned enough in a hatch thanks.

It took a long time for that win. I was not that far in front of Brian Shanahan though.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. We may meet again.

Hope I am still competing in 2 years. Doubt I will be at the WA Nationals.

    Good Luck
